The originally named Kimberley Charter Boat Operators Association was formed in 1995 by concerned and like minded people under the leadership of the first president Mark Longhurst.

Our concerns to have a unified voice and forum for our Industry in years past had laid a good foundation that has seen us involved in all aspects of relevant management. Our membership consists of small day fishing boat operators, remote wilderness coastal camp guides, extended Kimberley cruisers; Diving based vessels that visit the Rowley shoals and Whale watchers.

Objectives

To achieve a totally sustainable industry both economically and environmentally.
To support government in formulating sound management decisions for the Kimberley coast and its tourism industry.
To lobby for better marine infrastructure throughout the Kimberley.
